I have never been a big football fan. One of my big brothers played High School Football, but decided not to use his athletic college scholarship because even though that was the only way he could go to college, he had already been injured several times in High School and decided that the trade off was not worth it. I'm sure that influenced my opinion a little bit. Superbowl Sunday wasn't anything I was ever into, though I do remember the FIRST Superbowl. I was just a little kid when that happened. It is a good memory. My sister-in-law and brother were still married, no one had agendas, all my brothers were there. Sis-in-law made a Turkey. I think it was on New Years Day. So long ago. Good childhood memories cannot make up for barbarism though.
I have always thought of football, American football, as a gladiator sport that injures people for amusement. It seems sort of perverse. Now that traumatic brain is becoming a well discussed topic in football, I just want to say, “I told you so.” But no one wants to hear that, so I will just say that I like Puppy Bowl 9 better than the Super Bowl. So does my puppy.
Here he is watching the Puppy Bowl. He is 6 months old.
Here he watching the half time show of the Super Bowl. We both marvelled at it.
Yesterday, at his weigh in, he weighed 85.6 lbs. Hubby has been plotting his growth on a chart. That is below.
Our Little Guy isn't so little any more. At least he takes a break from running around driving me to distraction to watch TV; of course it has to be Animal Planet.
